Being a bit of a loon and being bang into all the hiking malarkey this year I saw that the Jurassic hike weekend was the only one where the 26 miles hike and the 13 mile hike were on separate days so I thought why not? In for a penny, in for a pound so I entered them both.
Not going to lie, when I finished the 26 mile hike on Saturday I thought there was no way I was going to make the 13 mile hike but I got back to my room, had a hot shower, did my stretches and had a hot meal and decided to see how I felt in the morning.
Sunday morning – I felt great. Legs and feet were fine so I was up and out for a full English and then to the start line to do it all again.
The 13 mile hike of course has all the big hills but thankfully ends at Lulworth so it was an enjoyable way to spend four hours on a Sunday morning and I was very pleased that I started.
